Having converted to Islam as a young adult, I found it difficult finding a sense of style that would fit in with my new faith.
Nothing seemed to reflect my identity as a Muslim woman the way I wanted it to.
Fast forward some years, after having my two beautiful daughters, I wanted to do my best to ensure they would not face the same struggles as I did.
I wanted them to be able to proudly represent their faith and their own individual styles.
Luckily, I had my daughters and nieces to help me create something that would cater to all Muslim women.
And so HijabiLondon was born.
Having grown up and raised my own family in London, I wanted a brand that would represent the same unique charm and dynamism that London offers. And be recognised for its fierce independent style.
It started off as an idea that took up most of the space in my head....and it quickly became a reality that took up most of the space in my house!
The ultimate goal for HijabiLondon is to create a movement that young Muslim women will feel inspired and empowered by. Something that they see reflected within themselves.
And I didn’t just want the brand to be for young Muslim women. I wanted all women to feel like they can be a part of it.
I would love to collaborate with as many different young creatives as possible, to develop further the sense of unity that HijabiLondon offers.
The hijabs, clothing and accessories we sell, are all extremely versatile and will work with any style and match any look. We want you to feel your most confident and empowered whilst wearing them.
I hope HijabiLondon inspires you and that you find pieces that help you feel like the very best version of yourself.
Although we are just starting out, HijabiLondon wants to create a global movement that renews the world’s Faith in Fashion, empowering Muslim women to embrace their individuality and express ourselves the way we want to - and not how the world believes we ought to.
